20 pieces of gelatin
2dl cold water
1/2 kg sugar
2,5 dl water
1/4 tsp lemon acid
Zest from one orange
1 dl orange juice
2 tbs lemon juice
100g white sugar
1 tsp grinded cloves
1 tsp grinded ginger
Soften the gelatin in 2 dl cold water or more. The gelatin must be covered by water.
Put sugar, 2,5 dl water, and lemon acid in a pot. Place it somewhere warm so the sugar dissolve. When the sugar is dissolved you bring it to boil for 20 min – not to much heat. While it’s boiling you remove some of the foam that will come on top.
After 20 min – turn of the heat and ad juice and zest. Pour everything in a squared dish (20×20 cm), and place it somewhere cold for the night.
Next day you cut your giant piece of jelly into smaller (square) pieces.
Mix the extra sugar with grinded cloves and grinded ginger. Flip all the small jelly pieces in the sugar and when done place it on some backing paper so it can dry out for a couple of days.
Keep your jelly in containers where it can breath or else they will get wet.
